Championing Public Service Excellence

This morning, President Hakainde Hichilema convened a pivotal meeting with the Ministerial and Provincial Delivery Units, underscoring his unwavering commitment to enhancing public service delivery for every Zambian. The dialogue was marked by candid exchanges, aimed at identifying solutions to accelerate development and improve efficiency across government systems.

Central to the discussion was the urgent need to eliminate bottlenecks and dismantle bureaucratic barriers that hinder progress. These efforts are integral to the President’s ambitious Delivery Agenda, which led to the establishment of the Presidential Delivery Unit. Aligned with the 8th National Development Plan, the Delivery Agenda is driven by clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and competitive timelines designed to deliver meaningful change. The Presidential Delivery Unit works hand-in-hand with the Cabinet Office, as well as Ministerial and Provincial Delivery Units, to ensure seamless coordination and effective implementation of this transformative vision.

President Hichilema reaffirmed his dedication to maintaining open communication with public service workers, emphasizing the importance of aligning government systems with his vision of efficiency, urgency, and people-centered governance. His leadership continues to inspire a collective commitment to building a Zambia where development is not just a promise but a reality for every citizen.
